The Advisor knows the studio exports PDF and Word
Asked about a PDF, the Advisor could say one was not available yet. Now it knows where to find export: Share, then Export, for a PDF with its optional watermark or a Word file.
Everything that shipped, newest first, each with the day it went out.
Asked about a PDF, the Advisor could say one was not available yet. Now it knows where to find export: Share, then Export, for a PDF with its optional watermark or a Word file.
Now Mine shows each thing you asked for with the day you asked and the day it shipped. A report you sent from the studio shows you its details, and only you.
Now the feedback pages tell you when a newer StoryFlow is out, with the same Reload bar the studio has. Nothing reloads until you press it.
When something you asked for turns out to be the same as another ticket, the two are joined and your vote moves with it. Joining never takes away a vote you already gave.
Pressing Agree used to wipe out the mark you had placed by hand. Now your own mark is kept behind the agreement, with what you said, who made it and when, and it comes back if you change your mind.
The Advisor credited remembered decisions to itself even when you or a collaborator had made them. Now it says who decided, and when that was never recorded, it says so instead of guessing.
A decision you kept from Messages onto a card could look like words you had written yourself. Now it becomes the Advisor's card, written as it was said, and it never goes onto your pages as yours.
Now the link in a roundup email opens your project with Messages open, at the first message the email tells you about.
Asking for a Structure Proposal could bring three messages, and some said the Advisor chose a line for your story. Now it is one message and then the offer. It says it marked your line, and it says where your Working Pages already have a beat instead of asking you to write it.
Now each beat stands under its scene's heading in the Structure, in the order its lines come. Open a scene and every beat is on its own line, with the quoted words in Courier so you can tell your pages from the labels.
The Analysis now reads your pages with a stronger model and clearer rules for where each Anchor Beat lands. It follows a lead who leaves the story, places the Midpoint and the Apparent Verdict more surely, and never lets punctuation pick a beat's line.
When a message looks meant for a person, Messages offers to send it to them instead. Now pressing it sends it to them alone and takes back the Advisor's answer.
A writer asked the Advisor how to delete their script and start over, and it wasn’t sure. Now it tells you where to find the bin for a project or a Draft, that Cmd+Z brings back words you deleted, and that Revert brings cleared Working Pages back from any Draft. The deleting itself is always your own press.
Pressing a button on the feedback pages could feel like nothing happened. Now what you press changes at once and a thin bar shows the page is on its way. Considering lists the newest first.
When StoryFlow is updated while your pages are open, the studio used to reload on its own, sometimes after a few minutes away on a phone. Now it saves through the update, tries again when the network comes back, and shows a small bar that says StoryFlow was updated and your work is saved. You reload when you choose.
Writing a parenthetical used to leave stray blank lines and missing parentheses. Now a line that becomes a parenthetical wears its parentheses by itself, and typing "(" inside a speech starts one on its own line with the speech carrying on below, as Movie Magic does.
Waiting most of an hour for a reading broke the flow of work. The Analysis now runs as soon as it is asked for and lands in minutes.
Some replies read like poetry, with scenes and props doing the acting. The Advisor now says things plainly. People act, and Anchor Beats are named the way writers name them.
For a while the roundup and the Advisor's emails said to open the studio on a computer and had no link to press. Now that the studio works on a phone, those emails carry the link again, and a reply to the mail still answers in Messages.
I meant to invite a reader and invited someone who could change the pages. Share now lists Reviewer first, so the safer choice is the one already in front of you.
The colors were beautiful, but I had no idea what any of them meant, or how to find out. Now every icon and chip in the studio shows a short sentence when you rest the pointer on it.
The Flow looked interesting but it was hard to tell what it showed. Rest the pointer on it and it says what the band's thickness means; the Help sheet says more.
Writers had to describe where they were before the Advisor could help. Now it knows where your cursor is, so 'this scene' or 'here' just works.
When two people selected text it was hard to tell whose was whose. Now everyone's cursor and selection is drawn in their own color, yours too, and where two selections overlap the colors mix.
I was getting an email for every message in a busy chat. Now nothing is mailed while you are watching. Once you step away, one roundup per project arrives, never in your night.
